ESACT 2001 - The 17th Meeting: From Target to Market
JUNE 10-14, 2001 - TYLÖSAND - SWEDEN

Dear ESACT Meeting Participants,

The 17th Meeting of the European Society for Animal Cell Technology entitled “From Target to Market” which has taken place in Tylösand, Sweden, during the week of June 10–14, 2001 is now closed.

We had a meeting with very good scientific contributions, which goes for both oral presentations and posters. Also some of our Keynote speakers made great presentations.

A meeting like this is a huge organization with hundreds of details to coordinate and most of them went well. We had though two rejected abstracts that accidently were printed in the Abstract Book. They were rejected and hence there were no posters on the meeting, but for some reason the came into the Abstract Book. I can only appologize for that.

Having said that, I personally am very satisfied with the meeting. The auditorium was almost full the entire meeting! We had an excellent accomodation at Hotel Tylösand, we had good science, we had very engaged participants and traders and last but not least we had a fantastic Gala Dinner. It was a great experience to see 640 persons getting food exactly on the same time.

In short, I sincerely hope that you had as good a meeting as I had and I look forward to seeing you all in Granada!
